David Bergstein, Chairman

An entrepreneur for over 20 years, David Bergstein has turned his hand to a successful film financing and production career since 2002. As Chairman of Mobius Pictures he arranged the financing for over 20 films, acting as producer or executive producer on titles such as Bordertown, Laws of Attraction and The Whole Ten Yards.

As part of his vision to create an ambitious global entertainment group, in 2006 he acquired leading international sales company Capitol Films and US distributor THINKFilm. Over the years Capitol has enjoyed a wide range of commercial and critical successes, including Robert Altman's Academy Award winning GOSFORD PARK, horror hit JEEPERS CREEPERS and slick gangster thriller, LUCKY NUMBER SLEVIN. THINKFilm has now had seven Academy Award nominations in as many years, including the recent "Best Actor" nomination for Ryan Gosling in HALF NELSON (www.thinkfilmhighlights.com), and wins in 2005 for the documentary BORN INTO BROTHELS and in 2007 for the documentary TAXI TO THE DARK SIDE.

Mr Bergstein continues to take an active involvement on films represented by these companies, performing executive producer or producer duties on titles including Sidney Lumet's BEFORE THE DEVIL KNOWS YOU'RE DEAD and Tony Kaye's BLACK WATER TRANSIT. Building upon the core acquisitions of Capitol Films and THINKFilm, Mr Bergstein is also chairman of CT1 and seeking to continue his expansion of his entertainment group, aided by his considerable background in digital content ventures.
